While smartwatches guess your impact based on arm swing, HybridStep measures it at the source.
- The Tech: Embedded ultra-thin FSR (Force Sensing Resistor) Matrix.
- The Capability: Captures real-time Vertical Ground Reaction Force (vGRF) and pressure distribution mapping.
- Why It Matters: This is the hardware responsible for calculating your Skeleton Load Index™ and Vertical Stiffness (Kvert). It distinguishes a "soft landing" from a "bone-jarring impact" with Newton-level precision.
MOTION INTELLIGENCE
9-Axis IMU Fusion
Understanding orientation in 3D space.
To understand how you move, we integrated a high-frequency Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU).
- 3-Axis Accelerometer: Measures speed and shock (loading rate).
- 3-Axis Gyroscope: Measures rotation (pronation/supination velocity).
- 3-Axis Magnetometer: Determines precise heading and spatial orientation.
- Why It Matters: This sensor array powers the Static Posture Quality™ engine in the 501 and enables the Braking-to-Propulsion Ratio analysis in the 901R.
THE EDGE PROCESSOR
Onboard Neural Engine
Zero latency decision making.
We process data at the "Edge"—meaning inside the shoe, not on your phone.
- 100Hz Sampling Rate: The system reads your biomechanics 100 times per second.
- Local Buffer: The shoe stores up to 8 hours of high-fidelity data internally. Run without your phone; sync when you get home.
- Smart Wake: Sensors enter "Deep Sleep" when stationary and wake up the millisecond you take a step, ensuring extended battery life.

IP67 Water Resistant: Rain, puddles, and sweat. The electronics are sealed in a hydrophobic casing. (Hand wash compatible).
The Battery: High-density Lithium-Polymer.
Usage: Up to 9+ days on a single charge (based on 10k steps/day).
Charging: Magnetic Snap-On charger (included). 0% to 100% in 90 minutes.
Cycle Life: Tested for 1,000 km of high-impact running. The sensors are designed to outlast the outsole rubber.
